I want to speak to those who are wondering around looking for a place to sleep tonight. I hope that you realize searching for a place to rest, when you have little money, can be a hard job, especially when you have to compete with others who have no money,no job or resources. Just pretend that this is the turn of the century in American and you've just been let loose from your position as an indentured servant ( a person who binds himself by indentures to work for another for a specific time, in return for payment of his travel expenses and maintenance). The thing you need most is courage to believe in yourself and pray for favor from a kind stranger. Now, begin walking in the direction of where your feet take you. Usually, it is where you see people, ask "Where are they giving beds for the night?" Now,go there and stand in line, but don't look at the other people's faces really hard, just long enough to see which ones actually talk to themselves or to some unseen other person. Stay away from those with invisible friends and take note that you don't talk outloud yourself. Next, walk up and give the intake person the data they need to register you, hopefully, all you need say is --your name and where you slept last night...usually "I slept on the streets." is all you need to say. Next, take the rough gray blanket, and go inside and find a cot near the wall away from the main traffic, not near the showers or the bathroom/toilets/kitchen etc. Also try not to rest underneath the main bright lights or the television, usually these will keep you up if they run them during the late night. Now, place your belongings close to you, don't leave anything unattended! Sit until you can compose yourself to get in line for your meal ticket. Be patient and don't think negative thoughts...be glad you made it thus far, the night is still young and so are you. The best advise is don't be too friendly, keep to yourself and watch. Most of what you need to know someone will be talking about and if you are doing the talking you will never learn what you need for the next day of searching. You really don't want to come back to this, so think about tomorrow right now. Tomorrow is a new day, bright and filled with new adventures. Be refreshed with this night sleep. Remember sleeping while broke is an art you must master. Don't be hard on yourself --be happy you have the skills to survive and the courage and fight to stay alive. Be glad you have been given the
opportunity to forge your own way in this world. This is how your ancestors lived in the new America. Smile and be encouraged -- your DNA is from good stock! You are the new America!!

America's society is stagnant in it's cultural development because of political correctness.

I meant to write a whole spiel on this, but every time I attempted it never came out worded as I wanted it. Anyone have anything to add?

Don't mean to start a big fight on this fine sunday morning - but here I go anyway.

When you really think about it, I mean really think about it, aren't women really sex objects. We try to say they aren't soooooooo much but, at the end of the day, when all is said and done, women are nevertheless seen as sex objects. We try to hide it as much as we can but don't we still really believe it anyway?

Of course women are not just sex objects. I feel that we have fooled ourselves into seeing men and women as equals. Women see themselves as objects of sex appeal and guys see every girl as a potential 'fun night' - or more - no matter what they say.

Why do women get breast implants? To have better posture? Why do women apply makeup? For sun protection? Why do women spend time and money improving their looks - at the expense of time devoted to enhancing skills and building experience? Because it is fun obsessing over looks?

Maybe you'd say "yeah, you're right, but the point is that it is wrong and we have to strive to correct the situation." To that I would reply with this - why spend so much time and energy fighting against our instinct? Against our nature? Look at what amazing things can happen when we go with our instincts - we get to the moon. Look what happens when we fight our instincts - we get a war on drugs that costs money and doesn't fight drugs.

Why not admit that women are seen primarily in terms of their sex appeal and embrace the truth. It will set you free - and hopefully set them free of their clothes!

What is more satisfying than a guy lusting after you because of your looks, personality, and intellect?
Lets face it, sex is in our nature, along with the feelings and arousals that are associated with it. Why would you try and squash that, saying that we shouldn't control men by it? If I was a femenist, that is how I would get a man to see my point of view.
There is no better feeling than to walk into a party and have the entire room to work. The world is yours. But lets go over the basics
Looks:
Guys like the way girls look. Its a fact. And while breasts and butts are nothing but fat, for some reason it enticing them to the point of ridiculous. Maybe its because they don't have either. hmm. anyways, I love dressing up for the world. Sure I am guilty of were sweats to class. But when I get ready, when I dress up to go out? I have the most confidence ever. When I look good, I have the confidence that I am good. Lets face it, showing off our curves/skin is sexy. Of course this is because of the media, but when we live in a pop culture driven society, this is what we value. And frankly we should want to look good. We should want to take care of our bodies. And when a girl has the confidence of having a good looking body, a boy cant help but stare and those delicious curves, legs for days, tiny waist.
Personality:
Let's face it you can have the goods and not even that will make you hot. You have to have a personality, whatever type it my be, you have to have one, and embrace it, its flaws in all. No one can stand someone who is fake, who is inconsistant and doesn't do what they want or whats best for them. A girl who is who she is on purpose, now thats hot.
Intellect:
You've gotta have a brain, its just really important. You have to know what to say, and have something interesting to say. Guys do not find idiots and ditzy girls atrractive, because, well their not. You have to have a purpose in life, you gotta be driven.

So while sex appeal is largely based on looks, while it is unfair measuring stick, while it is what guys think about constantly, I say embrace it. Flaunt those curves as you shimmy across the room, wear that dress that shows off your cleavage, legs, and bsilky smooth back. Don't hide what was given to you to expose. Its the tools that gives us the upper hand over guys. They be stronger or get paid more....but we know how to get them to use that money and strength on us, and its called a little peek of skin.

Word! I know that it's been awhile since I posted, but, I just wanted to vent.....

A few days ago I signed up for an account at somethingawful.com, paid $9.95 for a piece of crap account at their piece of crap messageboard and posted just a few times and got banned! For what? I don't know! I didn't post anything bad other than this chick putting a condom on me with her mouth. Yeah, well, you should see some of the piece of crap posts there. I mean, they talk about having sex with retarded people. RETARDED PEOPLE!! That's WAY worse than a girl putting a condom on me orally let me tell you. Hell, at least I practice safe sex. Well, I mean once every ten years when I get around to having sex, I do.

The point is this: I want my money back. They're a bunch of elitist assholes.

I learned today that one of the greatest evils in life is being 'spiritaully lazy'. Now what exactly does that mean? According to Scott Peck it means that a person is unwilling to motivate themselves for spiritual growth or even simple everyday tasks that contribute to your mental health.


Even people that appear to be busy or working might just be putting up a front for their laziness. Even if you work a 9-5 and see your kids regularly, the goal of your activities might only be to protect your inner laziness from criticism. I know many people that are workaholics and I haven't found one that fits this profile. Although it wouldn't suprise me if there were more in my life than I knew.

At any rate, I am in a challenging position of cutting myself off financially from my family and I wanted to talk for a second about my own laziness and the inherent problems that come with it. Without working on myself and accomplishing even small tasks every day, my life would suck and I would be very unhappy. My challenge is to read, go to regular meetings, go to my job and write in my journal. Anything more than that is just icing on the cake. Oh yea, and be honest.

I am curious about peoples impressions on the concept of spiritual laziness and maybe even some suggestions for personal improvement.
