I found myself having to go to see "jackass" today so I can intelligently speak about it on a TV talk show tomorrow. I was the only woman in the audience and I was a bit disgusted but I do see the appeal -- it is the emergence of the male success model. Can do anything, will succeed, has control over oneself and thus will survive. Today it is testerone pranks tomorrow it is the trading floor and someday the boardroom.

While I did not see the film I do understand what you mean. I think Jackass speaks to the "feminized male mind" that yearns for the childish giggles and silly pranks it learned to suppress it order to operate in the world.
